The Pessoa International Literary Festival is an annual event that seeks to promote international artistic exchange between writers from the Portuguese-speaking world and writers in the United States. It was founded in 2018 by Eric M. B. Becker and Mirna Queiroz. The festival has grown out of a content partnership between New York-based Words Without Borders and São Paulo-based Pessoa, begun in 2016.

The Pessoa International Literary Festival would like to thank Alicia Meier and Susan Bernofsky of the Columbia University School of the Arts for their help organizing the 2018 festival.
